121st ARW uniform donations benefit Civil Air Patrol

Personnel from the Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base Composite Squadron of the Ohio Civil Air Patrol and the 121st Air Refueling Wing Student Flight collect uniform donations Nov. 7, 2021, in Columbus, Ohio. Airmen with the 121st ARW donated used Airman Battle Uniforms (ABUs), a combat uniform officially retired by the Air Force last April in favor of the Operation Camouflage Pattern (OCP) uniform, to be used members of the Civil Air Patrol, the official civilian auxiliary of the Air Force.

Honoring all those who’ve served on Veterans Day

On Nov. 11, Americans will commemorate Veterans Day and recognize all who have served their country with honor and distinction. Ohio National Guard members have served in many of the nation’s wars and armed conflicts throughout history, and there are about 600 ONG Soldiers and Airmen deployed today, fulfilling their roles supporting U.S. Department of Defense missions around the world. Ohio’s command chief warrant officer prepares to close chapter on storied 37-year career

Chief Warrant Officer 5 Jay. K. Stuckman, the Ohio Army National Guard state command chief warrant officer, is retiring after a 37-year career that has included leading the OHARNG Warrant Officer Cohort since June 2012. The state command chief warrant officer advises the assistant adjutant general for Army and manages the military aspects of all full-time and traditional warrant officers to include readiness, training and education.

Ohio Army National Guard names top recruiters for 2021

The Ohio Army National Guard has announced its top recruiters for 2021, with Staff Sgt. Geffry Gehrlich (left) being selected as recruiter of the year and Master Sgt. Shaun Ruvoldt as the company noncommissioned officer in charge (NCOIC) of the year. Both Gehrlich and Ruvoldt are with Company H, OHARNG Recruiting and Retention Battalion, based in Delaware, Ohio.

Ohio Cyber Reserve members train to assist with cybersecurity issues
