1-137th Aviation Regiment conducts airborne support operations

UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter crew members from Company B, 1st Battalion, 137th Aviation Regiment conduct airborne support operations with the 412th Civil Affairs Battalion (Airborne) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The training improved coordination between units and strengthened their capabilities to rapidly insert forces in support of complex missions.

Guard members support 2026 Governor’s Wreath-Laying Ceremony

Ohio National Guard members join state leaders, veterans and families of fallen service members during the 2026 Governor’s Wreath-Laying Ceremony at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus, Ohio. 121st Security Forces defenders train for cold weather survival

Tech. Sgt. Clifton Cole, unit training manager for the 121st Security Forces Squadron, and Senior Airman Alexander Stoica, 121st SFS defender, describe their experiences during a cold weather training exercise at Camp James A. Garfield Joint Military Training Center in Newton Falls, Ohio. Cold weather training helps Airmen develop essential survival skills, resiliency and teamwork by confronting real-life challenges, such as building shelters and acclimating to harsh overnight temperatures.

Aiyanna Carpenter, a combat medic specialist with 1st Battalion, 145th Armored Regiment, talks about her job as a combat medic specialist and how she is using the Ohio National Guard Scholarship Program to complete her degree in nursing. Combat medic specialists are responsible for providing emergency medical care, both in combat and during humanitarian situations, and assisting with patient care in medical treatment facilities.
