Ohio ARNG opens Maj. Gen. Robert W. Teater Readiness Center

The Ohio Army National Guard conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to officially open the Maj. Gen W. Robert W. Teater Readiness Center at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base in Columbus, Ohio, Dec. 6, 2025. The new $16.7 million, 43,000-square-foot facility provides a larger, modern, consolidated facility for multiple Ohio Army National Guard units and is memorialized for Teater, a nearly 60-year resident of Columbus and Franklin County who served more than 30 years in the Army and Ohio National Guard.

3 Ohio ARNG members are recent Ranger Course graduates

Three Ohio National Guard Soldiers completed the 62-day U.S. Army Ranger Course in 2025, earning the right to wear a Ranger qualification tab, a symbol of their highly capable, resilient and adaptive leadership. Pfc. Charles Dimuzio, 1st Lt. Amanda Daniel and Sgt. Grant Blumenthal, all with the 37th Infantry Brigade Combat Team, discuss their experiences and the benefits of attending the Ranger Course as Ohio Army National Guard members.

The Buckeye Guard, the official online publication of the Ohio National Guard, features the latest episode and individual segments from the companion Buckeye Guard video newscast, which airs several times weekly on the Ohio Channel, a service of Ohio's public broadcasting stations. Each issue of the online publication also includes news, articles and historical content that highlight the missions, training, readiness and accomplishments of the Ohio National Guard's more than 14,000 Soldiers and Airmen.

Ohio Air National Guard conducts state command chief change of authority ceremony

Chief Master Sgt. Edward N. Taylor III took the reins as Ohio Air National Guard command chief master sergeant during a change of authority ceremony at the Maj. Gen. Robert S. Beightler Armory in Columbus, Ohio, Nov. 7, 2025. Taylor, who became the 13th Ohio ANG command chief, assumed responsibility from the retiring Chief Master Sgt. Troy R. Taylor.

Members of the Ohio National Guard took part in a Wreaths Across America ceremony at the National Veterans Memorial and Museum in Columbus, Ohio, Dec. 8, 2025. Wreaths Across America events honor fallen service members by placing wreaths on their graves to remember their sacrifices and teach future generations the value of freedom.

Home for the Holidays: 123rd ACS returns from deployment

Nearly 300 Airmen assigned to the 123rd Air Control Squadron and their families gathered for a homecoming ceremony at the University of Cincinnati’s Muntz Hall in Cincinnati, Dec. 7, 2025. The Airmen had just returned from a six-month deployment supporting U.S. Air Forces Central Command.
