Strengthening the Ohio-Serbia partnership

Maj. Gen. Deborah A. Ashenhurst, Ohio adjutant general, joined Gen. Frank J. Grass, chief, National Guard Bureau, and U.S. Ambassador to Serbia Michael Kirby for meetings July 23, 2014, in Belgrade, Serbia, to discuss the State Partnership Program relationship between the Ohio National Guard and Serbia. The meetings, which were also attended by Serbian Ministry of Defense officials including Defense Minister Bratislav Gašić and Gen. Ljubiša Diković, chief of the Serbian Armed Forces General Staff, focused on sustaining the Ohio-Serbia partnership and continuing military cooperation, including joint training exercises and further developing troops.
