You can serve in the National Guard while you complete your college education. The Guard offers many programs to help you pay for tuition and other educational expenses.

The Ohio National Guard provides tuition benefits for undergraduate degrees for Ohio Army and Air National Guard Members to state colleges and university. Credits are based on enlistment.

Application
You must use a Common Access Card (CAC) card to register and log on to the ONGSP Website. Ensure you have a functioning CAC reader for your home computer or access to a government computer to use the ONGSP Website.

Federal Tuition & Credentialing Assistance

Provides assistance for voluntary off-duty education programs in support of a Solider's professional and personal self-development goals. Support is available for both classroom and distance learning courses but must be offered by schools that are registered in GoArmyEd and accredited by agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

GI Bill Program and Benefits

The GI Bill is a federally funded program administered by the military services and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Assistance may be used for college degree and certificate programs, co-op training, technical or vocational courses, flight training, apprenticeships or on-the-job training, hightech training, licensing and certification tests, entrepreneurship training, certain entrance examinations, and correspondence courses.
