2013 - Bricks with the names of three Ohio National Guard Soldiers who died April 4, 2012, while serving in Afghanistan - Capt. Nicholas J. Rozanski, Master Sgt. Shawn T. Hannon and Master Sgt. Jeffrey J. Rieck - are part of the military memorial brick garden at Motts Military Museum, located in Groveport, Ohio. The museum contains artifacts and displays representing U.S. military conflicts ranging from the Revolutionary War to the present.

Ohio National Guard members were among more than 250 participants in the inaugural Race to Eliminate Sexual Violence 5K run on April 14, 2012, at Audobon Park in Columbus, Ohio. Organized by a partnership of several agencies comprising the Central Ohio Sexual Assault Task Force, the event highlighted the importance of the community standing up against sexual assault, to ensure good bystanders are in place to identify crimes.

The game showcased some of the best Ohio college football players from all NCAA divisions. The South All-Stars defeated the North 21-7, and won the National Guard Minuteman Trophy.
