PLAIN CITY, Ohio (11/11/17) — About 30 veterans of the 112th Medical Brigade gathered Nov. 11 at the Der Dutchman Restaurant here to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the casing of the brigade's colors. First organized in 1904 as the Medical Department, Ohio National Guard, the 112th saw active service during World War I, World War II and during the Korean War in addition to numerous state active duty mobilizations to aid the citizens of Ohio. Reorganized as the 112th Medical Brigade in 1975, the brigade was one of three of its kind in the National Guard force structure when it was removed in 1997.
