COVERAGE OF OHIO AID TO HURRICANE RECOVERY EFFORTS


The Ohio National Guard has answered the call for assistance from the state of Texas through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC). Fourteen Soldiers and two CH-47 Chinook helicopters from the Ohio Army National Guard's Company B, 3rd Battalion, 238th Aviation Regiment are in Texas, ready to transport personnel, equipment and supplies. MANSFIELD, Ohio — Ohio National Guard engineers deployed Wednesday in support of Hurricane Irma relief. More than 20 Airmen from the 200th RED HORSE Squadron departed this afternoon from the 179th Airlift Wing, located at the Mansfield Lahm Airport.

Ohio National Guard sending helicopters and crews to aid Irma response

The Ohio National Guard said Monday two Guard helicopters and their crews will leave Monday to stage for potential support to the Hurricane Irma response in Florida. State, federal officials still checking toxic sites flooded by Harvey
