APPROPRIATE UNIT OF ASSIGNMENT IN THE OHIO NATIONAL GUARD, AS SHOWN BELOW.

Selected applicants must become militarily compatible with
this position. Applicants are responsible for contacting their unit training
managers prior to application to ensure that they are eligible to enter the
military career field in question. This includes but is not limited to: ASVAB

THIS POSITION IS BEING ANNOUNCED IN ACCORDANCE WITH STATE MERIT PROMOTION
PROCEDURES AND COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT. WEARING OF THE APPROPRIATE
ARMY/AIR UNIFORM IS REQUIRED WHILE EMPLOYED IN THIS POSITION. PERMANENT CHANGE
OF DUTY STATION (PCS) FUNDS ARE NOT AVAILABLE. DUE TO MANNING RESTRICTIONS, THIS
POSITION WILL BE FILLED WHEN MANNING AND FUNDING BECOME AVAILABLE.
DUTIES: This position is located in a Joint Forces
Headquarters-State, Logistics Directorate (J-4), Surface Maintenance Facility.
The primary purpose of this position is to assist higher graded workers in the
skilled trades occupations. Engages in joint operations with higher graded
workers. Rotates through trades areas to gain experience.
GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which
demonstrates the candidate has enough knowledge of equipment to be able to do
routine jobs, simple preventative maintenance tasks, and is able to use common
tools and equipment in the line of work.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: (WG-08) - 12 months experience in which
the applicant demonstrates the following:
1. Experience which demonstrates enough knowledge of equipment to perform
routine jobs, and simple maintenance tasks.
2. Experience which demonstrates the ability to follow instructions and apply
instructions to accomplishing simple repetitive tasks.
3. Experience which demonstrates the knowledge of the equipment used in the
various trades performed such as cleaning equipment, erecting equipment,
operating equipment, and the steam jenny equipment.
4. Experience which demonstrates the use of hand tools such as hammers,
screwdrivers, drills, powered saws, sanders, wrenches, etc.
5. Experience which demonstrates the ability to perform repairs in four or
more mobile equipment areas under a formal job training program.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES (KSAs): (WG-08)
1. Basic knowledge of equipment used in the trades supported.
2. Ability to follow instructions.
3. Knowledge of the equipment used in the trade performed.
4. Ability to use hand and powered tools in the trade performed.
5. Ability to repair automotive, heavy mobile, electronic, calibration, and
other types of mobile equipment.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Candidates must possess a valid State driver’s
license for the State in which they live or are principally employed.
SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION: NOTE: College Transcripts are required if you wish to use Education as a substitution for experience or if a degree is a requirement for the position. A copy of the transcript must be submitted with the Job Application. Education must be directly related to the field of work. Study successfully completed in a college, university, technical or vocational school may be substituted for experience at the rate of one year of study (30 semester hours or 20 classroom hours of instruction per week for 6 months of experience). Maximum credit is 6 months of specialized experience.

relevance to the position for which the application is made and whether it is
full-time or part-time. Individuals not reflecting experience and/or educational
requirements, will be found disqualified and not eligible for interview.
