ONG honors Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

The theme for the federal holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is

“Remember, Celebrate, Act:
A day on, not a day off.”

In 1994, Congress designated the holiday as a national day of service, a call to action for all Americans to volunteer and take part in strengthening the nation, through service in their communities.
