Behavioral health professionals from the Ohio National Guard and U.S. Public Health Service and students from the University of Ponce worked together at a Federal Medical Station in Ponce, Puerto Rico in October 2017 following Hurricane Maria. The team also performed outreach in rural areas to provide counseling to citizens affected by the hurricane’s devastation, in addition to basic health care, food, water and other supplies.

On Veterans Day, the Ohio National Guard remembers and recognizes all past and present members of the military who have served our country proudly, including our Soldiers and Airmen who have served their state and nation since 1788. Maj. Gen. Mark E. Bartman, Ohio adjutant general, served as grand marshal for this year's city of Columbus Veterans Day Parade, which honored the 70th birthday of the U.S. Air Force.

Tom Burden, an F-16 mechanic with the 180th Fighter Wing, has invented a product called the Grypmat, a flexible, non-slip tray designed to hold tools on uneven or sloped surfaces. He will appear on the ABC television show “Shark Tank” at 9 p.m. EST Sunday, Nov. 12, to compete with other entrepreneurs.
