We strive to provide our Military Families and Youth with well rounded programming!
Our goal is to strengthen ties, create lifelong friends, and build leadership, resilience and camaraderie with other military families. (view program overview)

You know what best suits your family; so help us design the event around you!

We are looking for new ideas and locations for camps, events and programs in the areas where you live. Ideal venues would be low cost, easily accessible, community based and offer a variety of activities or programs. We know these places exist and need your help finding them. Please take time to share with us. Your contribution might be the next big success story that fills these pages.

HERO CAMPS - *Strong Family Workshops

HERO Camp / Strong Family Workshop - Columbus
Spend the day with the gentle giants at this local equestrian farm. Learn about horse behaviors and how to understand what they are trying to tell you, in turn learning how to better listen to ourselves.
Any Military Youth Ages 8-12 + Parent Program | $10.00 per person

The words of our past participants say it best " There is a wealth of information and resources to be obtained, this isn't your average parenting workshop!" Our strong families program has something for every parent; participate in hands on activities, share as a part of a focus group, create a toolkit to take home of valuable resources and gain valuable insight from some of your own peers on parenting tips. Our workshops focus on helping children succeed in the area of academics, home life and peer interaction. Come join us in a dialogue on what makes strong families!

Troop & Family Camps- Weekend Camps

Troop & Family Camps are designed for the whole family to spend a fun-filled weekend together strengthening ties and building camaraderie with other military families. Be sure to check the specific details for each camp on our website, as each camp has different activities, then pick the camp that best suits your family. Who defines your family? You do. Operation: Military Kids (OMK)

Initiative conceived and designed in January 2004 to support "Suddenly" Military Kids thru activities and programming specifically targeted to Youth of the guard and reserve component directly affected by the Global War on Terror. Ohio became an OMK State officially in March of 2005. Since its inception, OMK has been involved with and supported every event/activity executed by Ohio's Youth Program.
